PTSD and Anxiety
When painful or traumatic experiences happen in our lives, it can feel hard to “just get over it and move on.” Despite your efforts, the cycle repeats, and you feel stuck, lost and confused. PTSD, trauma and severe anxiety are not things that can be “fixed” through positive thinking, forgetting about it, or avoidance. Together we will work towards healing past pain so you can move into your future and stop reliving the trauma of your past.
EMDR and Trauma Recovery
I am experienced with identifying and responding to all types of trauma. I use a evidence-based process called EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) which helps clients heal and recover from traumatic life experiences that are causing current symptoms and distress.
Holistic and Somatic Approach
Most people don’t realize how much their trauma (emotional and physical) shows up in their bodies, sometimes decades after the experience. Our bodies hold the stories of our lives. Through EMDR, Somatic Therapy and Expressive Arts Therapy, I work to help you experience less pain mentally and physically.
Expressive Arts Therapy
Sometimes pain goes beyond words and utilizing the creative process to help explore and express feelings can be helpful. I am trained in guiding clients through the creative process to explore emotions, reduce anxiety, increase self-esteem and heal past pain.
